Words from the Lord: "I am revitalizing the faithful and raising..."

Have you ever had an urgent thought, a vision or a dream about someone you know personally or even a stranger? The Lord has done this many times in my life.

This is what the Lord is saying to His people at this time in this season:

"I am revitalizing My faithful prayer warriors. I am also in the midst of raising a new generation of prayer warriors. I am looking for people who are willing to stand at the frontline upon My call. I am looking for people who seek to pray according to My leading. I am looking for people who know their prayers stir up the spiritual realm and in due course, change the natural world. I am looking for people who are unsung heroes in the natural world but shining bright in the spiritual world. I am looking for people who are humble yet understand their significance in My Kingdom. Take heed, My people! Receive My anointing and My revelation to make a difference through your prayers."

The Lord is reaching out to two groups of people. The first group is people who are experienced in praying according to the leading of the Lord. The second group is people who have yet to learn how to pray according to the leading of the Lord. No matter which group you are in, gear up yourself in the spirit and His Word today! Start expecting for a new revelation from Him to pray!

Prayer warriors know that both spiritual realm and natural world exist concurrently. They have learned that whatever happens in the spiritual realm is going to affect the natural world. They are convinced that whatever they pray will impact the spiritual realm and in turn change the natural world.

Let's look at Moses in Exodus 17:8-11. 'Now Amalek came and fought with Israel in Rephidim. And Moses said to Joshua, "Choose us some men and go out. Fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand." So Joshua did as Moses said to him and fought with Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed. And when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.'

Do you see how Moses' prayers impacted the battle of God's people with the Amalekites? It's the same when you lift up your hands to pray according to the guidance of His Spirit. It impacts both the spiritual and natural realm.

In Exodus 17:12-13, 'But Moses' hands became heavy. So they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side. And his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.'

If you have been praying but lately you have got exhausted spiritually, or maybe you have been disappointed by certain people you prayed for or prayed with, do not give up. The Lord is with you and He understands you. Allow Him to strengthen you again, and get back to your spiritual position, even stronger than before!

Now we know that the prayers of prayer warriors involve spiritual warfare. So, it is important that prayer warriors pray only according to the leading and guidance of God's Spirit. When the Lord instructs prayer warriors to pray, He will make sure that they are under His protection. Hence, when the prayer warriors pray with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, they are keeping themselves within the sphere of protection the Lord puts them in. This is no different from taking instruction from the Lord for every other ministry decision and action.

So, prayer warriors need to take heed that they neither do more than what they are told, nor ruthlessly follow their own desires and pride to pray or make prophetic act. Because this will result in them stepping out of the sphere of protection to fight unnecessary spiritual warfare by themselves.

Therefore, humility and obedience are important key traits of the prayer warriors.

Let's look at Daniel 12:4. "But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase."

It is crucial to know that the Lord entrusts the prayer warriors with His secrets. Therefore, they are supposed to conceal and keep the revelation to themselves to pray. They are to reveal the revelation they have received only upon God's instruction in His perfect timing. Showing off how anointed they are and self-exaltation will only cut off the flow of revelation in their lives.

There are many ways prayer warriors can receive revelation and instruction from the Lord to pray. I will share some of my experiences here.

1. Urgent prompting in the spirit

2. Seeing vision while praying to God

3. Night vision through dream

Urgent prompting in the spirit

Most of the time when the Lord drops a name in my mind and I felt the urgency to pray for the person, I would immediately put the person in prayer. I would pray in tongue first until the Lord gives me the understanding to pray in words.

And many times, it's true that the people I prayed for were facing difficulties or troubles in their lives, but they came out victorious. Praise the Lord!

Here's an example on urgent prompting in the spirit. One time, we were told about someone with depression who went missing in another country. We felt the urgency to pray, and the Lord showed me exactly where the person was. The person fell down somewhere beside a creek. And with the revelation we received and the overseas phone call connected throughout our prayer, the rescue team found the person on time.

Seeing vision while praying to God

There were many times when I was spending time with God, the Lord gave me a vision of someone and told me to pray for the person. Usually when I receive a revelation through vision, it is about God's calling for the person's life or ministry works.

Night vision through dream

There were also many times the Lord showed me people I know or even strangers in my dream to pray. Most of the time, it is to pray for their salvation, or for them to come out of their problems in life.

No matter how prayer warriors receive the instruction to pray, their part is to take heed of the instruction and to pray according to the guidance of God's Spirit. There's no greater blessing than to know that God is close to you, that He is willing to disclose secrets to you, and He is showing you the result because you take heed to pray.

Let us pray:

"Father God, I pray that those who have faithfully responded to Your call to pray, Your anointing and revelation will flow freely in their lives and ministry. Your protection will always be with them and their loved ones. As they choose to humble themselves to pray and cause impact in both the spiritual and natural worlds, may You exalt them in ways You know best for them, and may You honor them with great blessings upon their lives and the lives of their loved ones. In Jesus' name. Amen."

If you have any question that you would like to ask us, or if you have testimony of how God has led you to pray and you would like to share with us, you're always welcome to email us. God bless you and have a nice day!

Hey, you can hear from the Lord too!

Last month, the Lord gave me two dreams in two consecutive weeks. I didn't see how they relate to each other initially, until I talked to the Lord about them. And He gave me the understanding.

In the first dream, I saw some believers of God are secluding themselves away from the sight of others. They had tried finding the solutions to their problems from different Christian groups and organizations, but to no avail. They seemed to be so overwhelmed by the sense of failure and defeat.

I woke up feeling sad and could only pray for these people whom I do not know, wherever they are.

In the second dream, I saw the Lord conveying His message and giving His confirmation to a Christian through a non-believer. I was astounded!

I remember waking up saying, "Did I see it wrongly, Lord? Is it possible?"

Then I heard the Lord said this, "Yes, I would speak even through someone who do not know Me because My people are not willing to seek Me for answers. In fact, many do not believe that I can speak to them anymore. Due to their unbelief, they do not ask. Thus, they do not receive or hear from Me!"

After hearing the Lord, my spirit groaned deeply inside of me, and I cried for God's people. I wish to see more believers of Christ learn to hear directly from the Lord, instead of feeling lost or being tossed to and fro by wrong advices. I wish to see more believers of Christ come out victorious from their sense of defeat and depression, always knowing what to do with their lives, and with the guidance and direction of the Lord.

The second dream reminded me of the story of Balaam and his donkey in the Book of Numbers chapter 22. Have you read it before? Do read it again if you have the time. If God can speak through a donkey, He can choose to speak through anyone or anything. And He can definitely speak to you and through you. Amen?

I do not know why some people do not believe God can speak to them personally, because I have been hearing from Him ever since I accepted Christ into my life in my early teens. There has always been two-way communication with the Lord. Isn't that what a relationship is about? And it's clearly written in the Bible that the Lord speaks to His beloved, whether in the Old Testament or in the New Testament. So, why can't the Lord speak to you in this present time? Isn't He the same God, yesterday, today and forever?

John 10:27 (EASY) My sheep recognize My voice. I know them and they follow Me.

Now, do not be afraid to hear from God or make mistakes. The Lord will teach you to recognize His voice if you learn to trust Him and hear from Him. If you need help and assurance, find a fellow believer or spiritual leader who is experienced in hearing the Lord and share with them your experiences with the Lord.

John 14:15-18 (EASY) Jesus then said, "If you love Me, do what I have told you to do. I will ask the Father to help you with this. He will send another Helper to be with you. That Helper will stay with you for ever.  He is God's Spirit and He shows you what is true. The people who belong to this world cannot receive Him. That is because they cannot see Him. They cannot know who He is. But you know Him because He stays with you. And He will be in you. I will not let you remain alone, like children without parents. I will come to you."

God has never intended for you to be left alone without His help and guidance in your life. He is always ready to guide and help you.

John 16:13-15 (EASY) But the Spirit will come. He is the one who shows people true things about God. When He comes, He will be a guide to you. He will help you to understand everything that is true. He will not speak on His own authority. He will tell you only what He hears from the Father. He will tell you about things that will happen after this time. He will take My message and He will tell it to you. In that way, He will give Me honour. Everything that the Father has is Mine. That's why I said, "The Spirit will take what is Mine and He will tell it to you."

You will never feel lost if you allow His Spirit to guide you. Spend time with Him. Read His Word. Talk to Him. Allow Him to speak to you in the ways He chooses to.

1 John 2:27 (EASY) But Christ has given the Holy Spirit to you, and He continues to help you. So you do not need people to teach you what is true. The Holy Spirit Himself teaches you everything about God's message. He helps you to know what is true. He does not tell you any lies. So you must remember what He has taught you. Continue to live together with Christ.

According to this Bible verse, it should be a norm that believers of Christ are used to having two-way communication with the Lord in their daily living, and being taught by Him personally in every area of their lives. Do you believe in His Word? Do you want to see this happening in your life? The choice is yours!

Luke 11:9-10 (EASY) So I tell you this. Continue to ask God for what you need. Then God will give it to you. Continue to look for what you need. Then you will find it. Continue to knock at the door and God will open it for you. Everyone that asks for something will receive it. Everyone that looks for something will find it. God will open the door for everyone that knocks on it.

If you wish to hear from the Lord and receive His guidance personally, do not be afraid to ask from Him. In fact, in Luke 11:9-13, it can be about asking the Lord for the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit's guidance. So, you shall surely hear from Him, if you believe and continue to ask from Him. He has promised this!

Let us pray.

"Father God, Your word has said that we can hear from You directly, and we can receive Your guidance through the Holy Spirit, as long as we ask. So, we ask,  O Lord, that we can hear from You and receive Your wisdom, so that we will know what to do with our lives and with our future. We ask that we always have a two-way communication with You. Teach us to recognize Your voice and receive Your confirmation, whenever we perceive that we have heard words, seen a vision, or receive a dream from You. All these we pray, in the name of Jesus. Amen."

Find freedom and safety in every stage of your life!

I want to share with you a night vision that I've received from the Lord recently, and here it goes:

I saw a building with different floors or levels. It is situated beside a hill, leaning against it. Inside the building, there were people who are welcoming and friendly. But there were also people who are not as friendly. And then, somehow interestingly, at each level of the building, there was a door to exit to a flat open ground outside.

And the Lord wants you to know this:

He has given you the way to freedom and safety in every stage of your life! Whether you need deliverance from problems, or wisdom to handle difficult people or situations, He is the 'HILL' that you can definitely look up to and you can always lean on.

Now, let's look into the life of Daniel in every stage of his life. It's so amazing that he had served four kings throughout his lifetime. Let's see how he walked closely with God, despite all the difficult situations he faced in the different stages of his life.

When Daniel was still a teenager, Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon conquered Jerusalem. They took away not just some sacred things from the temple of God, but also some talented and good-looking people from Jerusalem. And Daniel was one of the captives that were brought to Babylon.

Daniel 1:5-6

And the king appointed for them a daily provision of the king's delicacies and of the wine which he drank, and three years of training for them, so that at the end of that time they might serve before the king. Now from among those of the sons of Judah were Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah.

It must be great that the captives were given food as good as what the king ate. But the king gave them meats and drinks that were against the law of Moses. The meats given might be from animals that were deemed abominable to the Jews, or the meats were not properly drained of blood, or they might have been offered as sacrifice to the pagan gods before serving to them. So, Daniel and the friends decided to settle for vegetables and fruits as their staple food. And the Lord caused the chief eunuch to have favor on them and give them ten days to check on their progress.

Daniel 1:15-16

And at the end of ten days, their features appeared better and fatter in flesh than all the young men who ate the portion of the king's delicacies. Thus the steward took away their portion of delicacies and the wine that they were to drink, and gave them vegetables.

It must be tough, you know, as growing teenagers, to eat only vegetables and fruits while surrounded by others who feasted on different kinds of meat on the same table every day. But God honoured their determination to obey God's law, and they were found fitter than other youngsters of their age.

Daniel 1:19-20

Then the king interviewed them, and among them all none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah; therefore they served before the king. And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king examined them, he found them ten times better than all of the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm.

I believe the young people did not just choose the right food for themselves, but they chose the right mindset, their spiritual mindset. Let's look at what the Word of God say about having the worldly or carnal mindset against the spiritual mindset in the New Covenant, in this present time.

Romans 8:6-9

For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it's not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.

Have you ever been asked to do things in the way that is against your values or beliefs, and the people around you would tell you that it's only politically-correct to give in? You see, from my years of observation and experiencing the guidance of the Lord in my life, God's way is very different from how the ways of the world work. The worldly mentality of what is the best way to do things may not work at all if you want to follow God's way. If you are determined to follow God's ways alone, but somehow you're surrounded by opposing voice, pray that God will give you the way out and the wisdom to handle every situation. You see, God knows your heart. He will guide you and teach you what to do whenever you turn to Him. Amen?!

Daniel 2:1-2

Now in the second year of Nebuchadnezzar's reign, Nebuchadnezzar had dreams; and his spirit was so troubled that his sleep left him. Then the king gave the command to call the magicians, the astrologers, the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans to tell the king his dreams. So they came and stood before the king.

But the king was not willing to disclose any detail of his dreams to them. He wanted them to find out the dreams themselves and interpret the dreams for him. I guess any wise man would tell him off if he was not the king!

Daniel 2:10-13

The Chaldeans answered the king, and said, "There is not a man on earth who can tell the king's matter; therefore no king, lord, or ruler has ever asked such things of any magician, astrologer, or Chaldean. It is a difficult thing that the king requests, and there is no other who can tell it to the king except the gods whose dwelling is not with the flesh."

For this reason the king was angry and very furious, and gave the command to destroy all the wise men of Babylon. So the decree went out, and they began killing the wise men; and they sought Daniel and his companions, to kill them.

When Daniel heard that the king wanted to kill them, he asked for time and told his friends to seek God for the interpretations of the king's dreams. And true enough, God answered his prayer through a night vision.

So, Daniel was brought to face the king. Without missing a point, Daniel told the king exactly what he had dreamed and also the interpretation to his dreams. The king was truly impressed by Daniel's God.

Daniel 2:46-48

Then King Nebuchadnezzar fell on his face, prostrate before Daniel, and commanded that they should present an offering and incense to him. The king answered Daniel, and said, "Truly your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret." Then the king promoted Daniel and gave him many great gifts; and he made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and the chief administrator over all the wise men of Babylon.

You know, God's Spirit can reveal secrets to you. You can find in:

1 Corinthians 2:10-12

But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

When things seem to be impossible in this world, there will never be 'dead-end road' for those who put their trust on the Lord. Never give up too soon when you're surrounded by challenges. Seek the Lord, and He will teach you His knowledge and wisdom to counter your challenges. Amen?!

Daniel 5:1-2

Belshazzar the king made a great feast for a thousand of his lords, and drank wine in the presence of the thousand. While he tasted the wine, Belshazzar gave the command to bring the gold and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken from the temple which had been in Jerusalem, that the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines might drink from them.

You know, by drinking wine from the vessels from the temple of God, Belshazzar and his people were celebrating and praising the supremacy of their gods over the God of Israel.

Daniel 5:5-7

In the same hour the fingers of a man's hand appeared and wrote opposite the lampstand on the plaster of the wall of the king's palace; and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote. Then the king's countenance changed, and his thoughts troubled him... The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. The king spoke, saying to the wise men of Babylon, "Whoever reads this writing, and tells me its interpretation, shall be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold around his neck; and he shall be the third ruler in the kingdom."

Soon, Daniel was called to face Belshazzar when others could not interpret the writing on the wall.

Daniel 5:17

Then Daniel answered, and said before the king, "Let your gifts be for yourself, and give your rewards to another; yet I will read the writing to the king, and make known to him the interpretation."

Daniel told Belshazzar that this kingdom is going to be taken over by the Medes and the Persians soon.

Daniel 5:29

Then Belshazzar gave the command, and they clothed Daniel with purple and put a chain of gold around his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.

You see, Belshazzar still gave Daniel the rewards he promised even though what Daniel spoke caused humiliation to him. Probably it's because he did not know the kingdom will be overthrown so soon. And also, he thought that by rewarding Daniel, he could appease the wrath of Daniel's God.

Daniel 5:30-31

That very night Belshazzar, king of the Chaldeans, was slain. And Darius the Mede received the kingdom, being about sixty-two years old.

Daniel 6:1-3

It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom one hundred and twenty satraps, to be over the whole kingdom; and over these, three governors, of whom Daniel was one... Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm.

So, you see here, when you're faced with difficult situation and you're requested to speak, always ask the Holy Spirit first what to speak.

Just like what Jesus told His disciples in the book of Mark 13:11, "But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in the hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit."

Daniel sought God before he spoke. You too can always check with the Holy Spirit what to speak when you face difficult people or situation. As long as you speak what the Spirit of God tells you to speak and do what the Spirit of God tells you to do, He will surely protect you and pave the way to a better future for you. You will not regret following and obeying His words and instructions.

Daniel 6:4-5

So the governors and satraps sought to find some charge against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find no charge or fault, because he was faithful; nor was there any error or fault found in him. Then these men said, "We shall not find any charge against this Daniel unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God."

Well, the favour and trust King Darius gave to Daniel caused the other officers of the king to be envious of Daniel. They plotted to get rid of Daniel.

Daniel 6:6-9

So these governors and satraps thronged before the king, and said thus to him: "King Darius, live forever! All the governors of the kingdom, the administrators and satraps, the counselors and advisors, have consulted together to establish a royal statute and to make a firm decree, that whoever petitions any god or man for thirty days, except you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions... Therefore King Darius signed the written decree.

Daniel 6:10

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.

Daniel gave priority for the time of worshiping his God in all circumstances. May it be the same for you too.

As it was recorded in Daniel 6:11-15, the king was trapped by his own decree when the governors and satraps accused Daniel of not respecting the decree. He had no choice but to let the people cast Daniel into the den of lions.

So the king gave the command, and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions. But the king spoke, saying to Daniel, "Your God, whom you serve continually, He will deliver you."

Daniel 6:19-21

Then the king arose very early in the morning and went in haste to the den of lions. And when he came to the den, he cried out with a lamenting voice to Daniel. The king spoke, saying to Daniel, "Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?" Then Daniel said to the king, "O king, live forever! My God sent His angel and shut the lions' mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also O king, I have done no wrong before you."

And as it is recorded in Daniel 6:25-28, King Darius praised Daniel's God for His greatness and power. The king also made a decree that everyone in his kingdom must revere the God of Daniel. And Daniel prospered in the reign of King Darius and in the reign of King Cyrus the Persian.

As you can see, with God's protection and guidance, Daniel went through the changes of kingdoms safely, even when there were wars and violence. Not just that, God promoted him to be the right-hand man of the kings in each of the kingdom he was in. Though Daniel was in a foreign land, but with God's protection and guidance, he was never a captive or a slave. In fact, Daniel was a free man who gained the right to worship his God freely, and contributed the godly wisdom he received to the kingdoms he was in.

Know this, you can always have safety and freedom in the Lord, just as it is said in:

2 Corinthians 3:17

Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

So, spend time with the Holy Spirit, pray in the spirit, pray in tongue, whenever you can. Follow every instruction that He gives you. And you will find yourself living in safety and freedom in every stage of your life. Amen!

Sometimes, it takes you to just simply believe and agree with God's Word, to simply obey and follow the guidance of God's Spirit to survive well and thrive in your life, no matter where you are, or what you experience in this world.

It's a matter of choosing God over situation, and not being bothered by how people judge you.

Let us pray:

"O Lord God, I pray that in every stage of our lives, we will learn to walk closer with You. We want to involve You in every stage and season of our lives. We want our spirits to be sensitive to hear and to follow Your instructions closely. Teach us, Lord, in every circumstance. We look to You, Lord. We thank You for Your love for us, and we want to love You back by listening and following every instruction You give us. Because only You know who, where, and what is the best for us. In the name of Jesus. Amen."

A call to align for a new spiritual era!

Words from the Lord:
"Beginning from this Pentecost, a new spiritual era will unfold. New things are taking place in the spiritual realm and the natural realm. Now I am looking for people whose hearts are truly aligned with Mine. Align with Me to discover your true identity in this new era. Align with Me to capture the harvest due in this new era. Align with Me to access the doors to abundant blessings in this new era."

Something is going on in the spiritual realm, and something is changing in the spiritual realm. A new spiritual era will unfold. New things are taking place, even unprecedented things, both in the spiritual realm and the natural realm.

In Joel 1:2-4 (NKJV), the Lord spoke, "Hear this, you elders, and give ear, all you inhabitants of the land! Has anything like this happened in your days, or even in the days of your fathers? Tell your children about it, let your children tell their children, and their children another generation. What the chewing locust left, the swarming locust has eaten; what the swarming locust left, the crawling locust has eaten; and what the crawling locust left, the consuming locust has eaten."

In a time like this - in a time of pandemic and unprecedented things happening in the world right now, it is so important to be focused and to align with the Lord. Be aware of what is happening around you. Because the enemy doesn't just want to take away your health and wealth, but he also wants to take away your faith. Just like the locusts you see in the book of Joel, the enemy wants to devour and finish God's people off at this time, 'licking up' and 'eating up' all that they have - both in the spiritual realm and natural realm. Therefore, be sober and be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, and be steadfast in the faith! (1 Peter 5:8-9)

At the same time in the spiritual realm, big things are also happening for those whose hearts are truly aligned with His heart!

So, don't be tricked by what the physical eyes can see only. You have to know what is happening in the spiritual realm. Things happen in the spiritual realm first before they happen in the natural realm. Be alert to what is going on in the spiritual realm, and be careful not to allow yourself to be 'suppressed' by what the world tells you, or what the world news tells you; but be sensitive to God's Spirit. And you'll begin to see what God sees.

There is a call for the 'purposeless' to align with the Purpose-Giver right now.
There is a call for the 'breadwinners' to align with their real Provider right now.
There is a call for 'ministers of God' to align with their real 'Employer' right now.

Because only He can give you the true 'blueprints' in your life. Only He can give you the exact 'job descriptions' and 'specific instructions' for your life. So, look no where else what the people in the world are doing, but look to Him.

Come into alignment with the Lord your God. Come into His presence, and return to Him. He will guide you and teach you. He will show you exactly what to do. He will show you every step that you need to take.

As you align with Him, you'll discover your true identity in this new era. And with this, you'll access the doors to abundant blessings and capture the harvest due in this new era. In Jesus' name. Amen!

Working with the power of the Holy Spirit

21st May 2018

I had a dream from the Lord 8 days before Pentecost Sunday. In the dream, I saw ‘a huge black, shiny and cool-looking vehicle with very long bonnet emerge from the sea bed. It emerged from the side way. It was as big as a small island. At first, I thought it resembled an old vintage car. But as it surfaced more, it appeared to be different. It was a huge and long funny-looking giant car! Soon enough, many cars started moving on it and some were parking on it.

As a novice in car models, I had no idea what vehicle I had seen. After a whole week of internet searching, I eventually found a picture of a vehicle that has the closest resemblance to the car I saw in the dream. It was a Top Fuel Dragster! Immediately, I understood what the Lord was trying to convey.

To me, a car always represent the ministry and the church of God. And we who are His people are His ministry and His church! The Top Fuel Dragsters (like the one I saw in my dream) are the quickest accelerating racing cars in the world and the fastest sanctioned category of drag racers, with the fastest competitors reaching speeds of 539 km/hr and finishing the 1,000 foot (305 m) runs in 3.64 seconds. I believe the Lord is restoring the original ministry in the Body of Christ that is founded on His dunamis power, only in a newer and greater way. Just wait and see, the Holy Spirit will start moving in a new and more powerful way among His people from now onwards!

Why do we need the power of the Holy Spirit?

Acts1:8 (NKJV) - “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

1 Corinthians 4:20 (NKJV) - For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power.

1 Corinthians 2:4-5 (NKJV) - And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

The disciples of Jesus received the baptism and power of the Holy Spirit as they were praying together on the Day of Pentecost. Soon after, the earliest church was founded with over 3000 souls saved through the powerful preaching of the gospel (read Acts 1-2).

Human wisdom is limited and with flaws. Things that are built on human wisdom will not last. Your calling and ministry belong to God. Do you want to see the words of prophecy you deliver come to pass? Do you want to see your prayers for the sick make them healed? Do you want to see your preaching changes lives and it is not just entertaining the mind? If so, your calling and ministry must be founded and built on the wisdom and power of God!

How to work with the power of the Holy Spirit?

(a) The Word of God + the Spirit of God

Hebrews 4:12 (NIV) - For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Top Fuel car uses fuel that is comprised of nitromethane & methanol in order to keep the fuel stable, thus preventing explosion in the engine.

Likewise, your operating in the spirit has to be ‘stabilized’ by the Word of God. For example, a prophet who has no proper understanding of the Word of God might end up prophesying with his own perception or with judgmental mind instead of prophesying from the heart of God. This can cause ‘emotional wound’ among God’s people or even false prophecy. That is probably one foremost reason why many churches are afraid of having prophetic voice. Another example would be a ministry or a church that focuses only on God’s power, signs and wonders, but not the Word of God. This would lead to God’s people looking solely for ‘His hand’ instead of looking at His heart and understanding their relationship with Him as a whole through His Word. Therefore, all ministering Christians are to have an intimate relationship with God and be deeply rooted in His Word in order to continuously handle His power effectively.

(b) Take the action when God says so

Luke 11:28 (NLT) - Jesus replied, "But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice."

If a top fuel dragster is the first off the line when the light turns green, that's a huge advantage in a race that only covers a short distance. Even if the other car has a faster top-speed, it might not be able to cover the lost ground to take the win.

Similarly, it is better to depend on God than relying on your own ability or talent. Sensitize your spirit man by praying in the spirit often in order to hear Him precisely and to take action at the right timing.

(c) Focus on God’s instruction

Proverbs 4:25-27 (NKJV) - Let your eyes look straight ahead, and your eyelids look right before you. Ponder the path of your feet, and let your ways be established. Do not turn to the right or to the left; remove your foot from evil.

A top fuel dragster is built to race in a straight line. That is the only way it can reach the finish line fast.

Likewise, focus on God's specific instruction for you so that you will not be easily enticed to deviate from His plan. At times, you might need to shut your ears to many good ideas and suggestions of men. Always allow the Holy Spirit to advice and correct you so that you will always be at the right track.

(d) Be ready to stop when He says so

James 4:13-15 (NLT) - Look here, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit.” How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.”

At more than 480 km/hr, a top fuel dragster wears out its brake very quickly. It is therefore equipped with a special type of primary braking system. After crossing the finish line, the driver hits a switch that deploys two parachutes behind the car. The intense wind resistance will slow the car with little risk of additional mechanical failure.

Whether it is regarding your life or ministry, be ready to stop and start anew whenever God says so. Not letting go of your past, or even present success will only make you hinder the Holy Spirit from manifesting His power the way He wants in your life. Always remember that, when God tells you to let go of something, that’s because He already has something better in store for you. You will never be lack of resources and open doors when you listen to His instruction.

Making an impact with the power of the Holy Spirit

The NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) once allowed a team of seismologists to stand at the starting line to measure the race the way they would measure an earthquake -- the two top fuel dragsters rated a 2.3 on the Richter scale. That's equivalent to a minor quake that many would feel it. Also, experts estimate top fuel dragsters can reach over 150 decibels, a noise level that can cause physical damage to the eardrum.

When you allow the Holy Spirit to move in your life, His dunamis power will impact the world through you, without you striving and struggling hard! May those who hear what the Spirit is saying, be at the right place at the right time to receive the new outpouring of His power, and begin working mightily with Him. Amen!

Reaching the unreached

Recently, there were quite a number of people asking me, “If salvation is through Christ alone, how about those who have never got the chance to hear the gospel?”
I told them if they reach out to God, God will reach out to them!

A special place for God in our hearts

The fool had said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and have done abominable iniquity; there is none who does good.
God looks down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there are any who understand, who seek God. (Psalm 53:1-2 NKJV)

The word 'fool' is 'nâbâl' in Hebrew. It means stupid or wicked, especially for being impious (ie showing a lack of respect for God)’.

In the old times, there was neither internet nor modern transportation. So, knowledge about God was scarce. Yet, God was looking for people who would understand and seek Him!

It has proven one thing, that is, God has created all of us with a special place for Him in our hearts. We are born with a spiritual instinct to want to connect to a personal and mighty God who is powerful enough to save and protect us.

In most cases, people worship other gods/deities by inheriting their family’s traditions and religion. Apart from the above, atheism teachings play a part in blocking the mind of people and harden their hearts against God. There are also people who despise God due to certain mishaps in their life.

But, when someone starts to do heart-searching and cries out to the true God who created him/her, God will bring the gospel and the name of Jesus to him/her!

There are many real life testimonies that I have heard from beloved brothers and sisters in Christ. But such happenings are recorded in the Bible as well:

(a) Cornelius and family - the unreached family

Then Peter went down to the men who had been sent to him from Cornelius, and said, “Yes, I am he whom you seek. For what reason have you come?” And they said, “Cornelius the centurion, a just man, one who fears God and has a good reputation among all the nation of the Jews, was divinely instructed by a holy angel to summon you to his house, and to hear words from you.” (Acts 10:21-22 NKJV)

It is obvious that Cornelius, a Gentile and a professional officer of the Roman army, was seeking for the true God. God intervened by preparing Peter with a vision for him to preach the gospel to the non-Jews (see Acts 10:9-16). Around the same time, God told Cornelius to look for Peter, and he found the answers he had been searching for. Long story short, the whole household was saved, baptized in the Holy Spirit and baptized in water on the same day after Jesus Christ was preached to them (see Acts 10:24-48).

(b) The Macedonian Call - the unreached people

And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the lord had called us to preach the gospel to them. (Acts 16:9-10 NKJV)

Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul. (Acts 16:14 NKJV)

The Macedonians were ancient Greek people. They worshiped Greek deities. But some Macedonians, and probably Lydia who was one of them, must have been praying to the true God and asked for true understanding. God orchestrated the whole situation by leading Paul to Macedonia through a divine dream. Lydia and her family members were the first few to hear of the gospel and receive salvation (see Acts 16:11-15).

(c) Saul - the unreachable man

As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.” (Acts 9:3-5 NKJV)

Saul grew up with excellent religious training and he was zealous for God. But he did not know the true God. In fact, he thought he was doing God a big favor by persecuting many Christians. Probably, some victims and widows had been praying to God about him. Not long after, the Lord Jesus Himself appeared before Saul in a great light experience. He made him blind temporarily. Then, He instructed Ananias in a vision to reach out to Saul to recover his sight and baptize him in the Holy Spirit. Saul immediately became a changed man and a believer of Christ (see Acts 9:10-19). Eventually, Saul became the Apostle Paul who did great works for Christ the rest of his life. So, even the ‘unreachable’ can be reached by God in the way that only He knows what works for them.

Salvation for the unreached

“Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He (the Holy Spirit) has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me;” (John 16:7-9 (NKJV)

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.” (John 10:27-30 NKJV)

Salvation does not just happen in a person’s life. The Spirit of God is the One who works behind the scene to prompt some believers to pray for the unreached. He is the One who touches and turns the hearts of the unreached toward God. He is also the One who leads Christians to share the gospel to those who are ready to be saved. Once the gospel is preached, the unreached would immediately recognize that it is the God they have been calling out to. Hence, salvation is definite after praying the salvation prayer.

Sharing the gospel without striving

Then He said to His disciples,“The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” (Matthew 9:37-38 NKJV)

And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!” (Romans 10:15 NKJV)

It is absurd that some spiritual leaders use the above Scriptures as ‘the expectation’ for members to preach the gospel for church growth. So much so that the sharing of gospel has been categorized as a stressful thing to do.

[As salvation is not a coincidence occurrence, and the Holy Spirit is the only One who enables genuine salvation, no believer should be feeling forced or intimidated to preach the gospel. Therefore, be at ease and be bold to share the gospel whenever you are led by His Spirit to a certain person or people. Mainly because, the result depends solely on the work of the Holy Spirit and not from your own self-effort. You just need to avail yourself as the oracle of God to speak His word and to share your testimony.]

In conclusion, when someone cries out to the true God, He will bring the right people to share the gospel so that the perfect work of Jesus on the cross would be known. Or in circumstances where sharing of gospel is forbidden, He will give understanding through dreams or visions (such as in Apostle Paul’s experience), or in whatever way that He knows will work for the person, people or nation who calls out to Him.

God is with you

In a dream, I saw small blue-ish shiny round stones floating in the air towards me. I only needed to stretch out my hands to collect them.

The Lord said, My people need to be reminded of My covenant with them. I have given My words and My power to heal. They just need to receive them and allow Me to work in their lives.

Some of the significances of blue color in the Bible:
· In the Old Covenant, God allowed Moses and the 70 elders to see Him on the pavement of blue sapphire stones on Mount Sinai. That was because He wanted them to be reminded of His presence whenever they see blue color. He went on to instruct Moses to use blue color for different objects that were to be used for worshiping and serving Him (see Exodus 24-31). In the New Covenant, this portrays God's heart and His plan to have a personal relationship with His people. He wants His people to be aware of His presence in every moment of their lives (see John 14:23; Hebrew 8:10-11).

· In the Old Covenant, God instructed through Moses that His people were to have blue and white thread tassels hanging on the corners of their garments. It was to remind God's people of His Word and His holiness (see Numbers 15:38-40). However, in the New Covenant, the Holy Spirit is the more effective 'tassels' that dwells in God's people today. He reminds them of the Word of God from within and teaches them godly lifestyles personally (see John 14:26; Galatians 5:16).

· It is also to remind God's people of His healing grace. The woman who had a flow of blood for 12 years was healed after touching the hem (the corner of the garment with blue and white thread tassel) of Jesus' garment by faith (see Matthew 9:20-22). So were many sick people in Gennesaret who begged to touch the hem of Jesus' garment. Those who touched it were made perfectly well (see Matthew 14:34-36). Whether it is the healing from sickness, or from past sins and worldly ways, or from past hurts and failures, allow God to heal you completely so that you can move on to better and greater things in life.

I pray for you according to Hebrew 13:20-21 (NKJV), "Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen."
